EverQuest reached it’s 15th birthday this month, and to celebrate, Sony Online Entertainment has released a video nostalgically looking back at the game.
Launching on March 16th of 1999, EverQuest was perhaps the most popular MMO of it’s time. Infamously referred to as EverCrack, the game has since seen 20 expansions, and in 2012, a move to the free-to-play model.
Sony has also put together an infographic for the occasion, charting the changes both in game and in general culture since it’s release. It’s full of unique tidbits, such as the city of San Diego declaring a EverQuest day in 2009.
The question is, are you still playing these 15 years later?
