At the request of the Postgraduate Medical Education Director, a second version of the Introduction by Competence by Design courses was completed.
This included removing the previous Competency Based Medical Education director (Dr. Moyez Ladhani, no longer with McMaster), adding a headshot, updating videos, etc.
In 2021 I was tasked with updating a pre-existing ‘Introduction to Competence by Design’ course (based on stakeholder feedback), a MOC Section 3 accredited course by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. In addition, the course needed to be ported off of the Learning Management System (LMS) it resided on, as the office who owned the modules had no direct access to the LMS or modules themselves.
The modules were updated and re-exported, and then placed on a Virtual Private Server I had spun up (local IT policy did not allow for the hosting the HTML5 files). I then built a custom webpage to facilitate quizzing (using H5P) certificate requests / recording of user data for internal tracking, and linking to the newly hosted modules.
