Zelda is one of those properties that fans love to port, remake, and create homebrew sequels for. Heck, we’ve even seen other games hacked into being a Zelda game. It should then come to no surprise, of course, that the NES original has found its way to the Oculus Rift.
The Virtual Console, Nintendo’s Online shop for downloadable content, has been around since the launch of the Wii in 2006. Perhaps most notably though, the Virtual Console has been used as a platform to launch older games to a modern audience. I’m just not entirely sure Nintendo is doing it correctly.
Retro-bit, maker of a slew of retro-related hardware and accessories, has announced they’re releasing a series of wireless controllers for retro consoles.
Announced this past weekend at the Midwest Gaming Classic (which the Eric’s were at), the newly announced Retron 5 can play the original cartridges of nine retro consoles.
Duke Tales remastered has just been announced by Capcom for XBLA, PSN, and the Wii U eShop.
